The Grid Page template also comes with an optional content section. The content area is shown below the page header and above the grid items. The grid section is created automatically by the theme based on the child pages added to the Grid Page template. The page header displays a Featured Image as a background of the section.
By default, this grid of your child pages are sorted in reverse chronological order (from newest to oldest), or rather by the date they were published. It is possible to change order of your child pages using a native WordPress functionality. This option is located in the same box where you selecting a parent page. Moreover, this entire content section is totally optional.
